Slightly transformed, but still amazing~

I used to really dislike my birthday being 5 days after Christmas. It always seemed like part of Christmas and not really my special day. I have since realized that it is really a great day for a birthday. It is the day before NewYear's Eve. The beginning of a new year. A chance to start over, fix things, make things better, make resolutions, be a better person.....a renewel. I like that idea. So I celebrated my special birthday last night with my most special family and I am happy and ready to start the New Year!

I had a friend give me a gift with a card that said..."Slightly transformed, but still amazing" !! What a special message. I am still me, only better....Life is what you make it! I plan to make this one helluva year!

Tristan Jon

Tristan, my oldest was born as an adult, I think. He is mature beyond his years, and not only is he smart as a whip, (honor roll student) but he is very social, a friend to everyone and very much into sports. He plays football, basketball, soccer, and his favorite sport is baseball. His nickname is "Noodle"! He is in the 9th grade this year. Tristan was sweat tested for CF after Trevor's diagnosis, but the test came back negative. We have not had him DNA tested to see if he is a carrier or not.

Trevor Marc

My second amazing young man is Trevor. Affectionately known as "Trev of Edge". Trevor is extra special because he was born with Cystic Fibrosis. It is a genetic disease that affects his lungs and digestive system. He has the double delta F508 mutation. He is a real trooper though. Even though he has been through two major surgeries, you would never know there is any problem with him. He is very smart (honor roll student) and very active, he plays sports, loves to swim, loves video games and always wants to spend time with his friends. He is in the 7th grade.
